While the latest projection from The Senior Citizens League shows a .1% increase over the 2025 cost-of-living adjustment, the group says seniors are calling for a catchup payment and a change to how the COLA is calculated.

The non-partisan The Senior Citizens League predicts the 2026 cost of living adjustment will be 2.3%, 0.1 percentage points higher than last month’s forecast but 0.2 percentage points lower than the last increase of 2.5%.
