CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, has released a new publication aimed at providing guidance for conducting Housing and Urban Development audits. Knowledge-Based Audit Methodology: HUD Programs, based on CCH’s Knowledge-Based Audit methodology, gives direction for complying with the AICPA’s new clarified auditing standard.

“The KBA HUD title is the most extensive resource available, offering step-by-step references and clear explanations for complying with HUD auditing standards,” said Wendy Grice, CCH Product Marketing Manager. “This latest CCH title will strongly enhance the practices of professionals who conduct HUD audits.”

The new publication, available via ProSystem fx Knowledge Coach, provides coverage of HUD multifamily housing programs, a common engagement topic for professionals who perform HUD and low-income housing audits. The publication focuses on financial statement guidance and compliance requirements.

The release of the KBA HUD title follows the recent release of Knowledge-Based Audits of Commercial Entities. CCH is also planning to release additional titles covering industries impacted by AICPA clarity standards. The new auditing standards are effective for financial periods ending on or after December 15, 2012.
