Tax compliance solutions provider Sovos on Monday launched “Sovi AI,” a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities embedded across the Sovos Tax Compliance Cloud platform for e-invoicing, tax, and information reporting compliance.
According to the Wilmington, MA-based company, Sovi is derived from the Latin roots sophia (wisdom) and vis (power).
Sovos said it’s offering Sovi AI not as a standalone feature, but as an intelligent layer embedded throughout the compliance lifecycle. Sovi AI will integrate across analytics, automation, and regulatory workflows, enabling technical and non-technical teams to navigate complexity through natural language, visual interfaces, and intuitive guidance.
“Sovi isn’t just smart, it’s Sovos smart,” Sovos CEO Kevin Akeroyd said in a statement. “It understands the nuances of global tax compliance better than any other product or solution on the market. It codifies Sovos’ global tax compliance and regulatory expertise, developed across the 15 billion transactions we process every year in almost 20,000 tax jurisdictions worldwide.”
Sovi AI capabilities are already operational across Sovos solutions, including advanced biometrics for face and liveness detection, image recognition, and secure authentication built into Sovos Trust solutions.
