Global professional services firm Andersen has opened its first office in Georgia after merging with Atlanta-based tax and accounting firm Berman & Associates.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. As part of the transaction, Andersen is integrating the team of tax and accounting professionals from Berman & Associates, as well as founding partner Stephen Berman and partner Ronald Green. Berman and Green will become managing directors in Andersen’s new Atlanta office and will join the firm’s Private Client Services practice.
In addition, Andersen named Conor LeFevour, an experienced Andersen managing director from Chicago, as its new Atlanta office managing director. LeFevour will oversee operations and growth while maintaining the individual, estate and trusts client relationships developed by Berman and Green. He will be joined by Peter Speranza, also from Chicago, who will grow the business services practice with a focus on integrated tax strategies for commercial clients.
The M&A deal with Berman & Associates expands Andersen’s Southeast presence and aligns with its global growth strategy.

Berman & Associates has several decades of experience serving high-net-worth individuals, fiduciaries, and closely held businesses.
