CPA firms across the country know they need to modernize, but what are the real blockers standing in the way? In this CPE-eligible panel, we’ll unpack firsthand insights from the field, including real data gathered at this year’s AICPA ENGAGE conference, and explore the operational, staffing, and workflow challenges firms are still struggling to solve. You’ll hear from firm leaders who are approaching these issues head-on: how they’re rethinking service delivery, improving visibility, optimizing resources, and creating more scalable client experiences. We’ll also hear from the BDO Alliance USA on how its 250+ independent member firms are responding to these challenges across the profession — and what smaller firms can borrow from that playbook.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the top operational, staffing, and workflow challenges currently facing CPA firms in 2025.
- Recognize the disconnect between perceived digital maturity and the realities firms face in process efficiency and resource planning.
- Evaluate peer-driven strategies for improving visibility, optimizing staffing, and scaling client service delivery.
- Apply practical takeaways to begin addressing internal blockers and drive firm-wide transformation within their own practice.
