According to a recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 5% of American workers currently have more than one job. And while some side hustles pay better than others, new research highlights which jobs pay the most for a single day of employment, and which roles you can score with little to no experience.

“The side hustle has become a common fact of life in recent years,” noted a report from online lender NetCredit. “Economic pressures, shorter tenures and greater workplace flexibility have driven people with regular jobs to earn extra money on the side.”

NetCredit stated that online freelancer platforms have made the side hustle search easier than ever, and those with an underused skill or area of expertise and a few hours a week to spare, can earn more than $100 per day.

To find a sampling of the highest-earning side hustles, NetCredit analyzed thousands of publicly available job ads across 144 of the most common gigs.

Here’s what they determined as the 10 best-paying opportunities:

Marketing Strategist – $150 per day

An effective digital marketing strategist has experience and knowledge that a small business might not have internally. A company that reaches out to a marketing expert expects to make a profit on its investment in digital marketing, and you can factor this into the fee. While it may be desirable to study at college to become a highly paid marketing strategist, you can also attain competitive skill levels by learning at work or studying online at home.

Website Designer – $130 per day

Right now, the best-paying design side hustle is Website Design, at an average of $130 per day, with Landing Page Design not far behind. These are roles that involve storytelling, audience awareness and branding. Designers in these fields must have a good sense of creating work that is both impactful and accessible.

Landing Page Design – $125 per day

Freelancers with good taste and a wealth of experience in web design are a valuable asset to employers, many earning up to $125 per day.

Video Creation – $120 per day

Video creators produce and publish engaging video content, typically on digital platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or social media, by filming, editing, and adding elements like music, graphics and narration.

Social Media Marketing – $120 per day

Social Media Marketers are significantly better paid than the other social media roles. Sellers in this category offer social media management or ad management to buyers.

AI Spokesperson Videos – $110 per day

AI Spokesperson Videos continue to be the most lucrative way to make quick cash using AI on Fiverr. The current average day rate is $110.00. Several services allow users to create avatar-fronted announcements or how-to videos. It takes skill and work, particularly to create a video that does not look overly generic.

Website Content – $107 per day

Clients might require content to inform their website visitors about their product or as part of a content marketing strategy.

Songwriter – $100 per day

Lyricists usually earn money per project, producing music for commercials, video content and more.

Sales Copy – $100 per day

Freelancers can write sales copy for a number of sources, including websites, magazines and mailers.

Applications and Registrations – $97 per day

Writing applications and completing registrations for businesses pays an average of $97.50 per day on Fiverr — the highest rate of any task in the business category.
